You haven't mentioned the class you are in, neither the college/university. There are different procedures to follow for different degree courses- B.SC, M.Sc, PhD and for different semesters. Moreover, be it Bachelors, Masters, PhD there are different process, entrance exams and counseling dates.

But yes the light of hope is that for almost any course you need to identify the college first. Different Universities have different counseling dates for different courses, which all the colleges affiliated under the university have to follow.

Nevertheless, the minimum marks obtained should be 60% in aggregate from any recognised college/university.
