Re: Which subject to choose for UPSE exam?
It should be UPSC not UPSE.
The full form of UPSC is Union Public Service Commission. In Civil Services examination, now you have to choose one optional subject. It is better if a candidate chooses his bachelor's degree subject. For commerce stream candidates, commerce will be the best option. There are two papers from same subject. You must be minimum of 21 years to apply for exam. |

Re: Which subject to choose for UPSE exam?
Eligibility criteria for UPSC exam:
1. All graduates are eligible. 2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university. 3. Only Indian citizen are eligible. 4. Graduation subject does not matter at all. 5. Relaxation to those who belongs to SC,ST and OBC. 6. Attempts are also limited that is why a through preparation is mandatory. Exam is conducted in three stages: Preliminary Mains Interview. You should choose as per your graduation subject otherwise it will be difficult for you to clear the exam as if you choose some other subject then you will face difficulty as you have to start from scratch. You said that you are studying in B.Com graduates then yes you are eligible for the exam. All the very best for the exam. |

Re: Which subject to choose for UPSE exam?
Required educational qualification for applying for Civil Services is to have a graduation degree from recognized university.
Since you have completed B.com you are eligible for writing the exam and choosing the subject depends on your choice if you are good at economics choose it or else go for public administration or else choose mathematics and go for it because it is a scoring subject if you feel you are weak in that area also choose theoretical subjects like history like wise choose the subject as per your interest and make sure that you have knowledge in that particular subject. |
