First I would recommend you to go for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) based on your 12th as you are sure about your future and want to go for law after graduation. ELIGIBILITY- # For 5 year BA LLB course, candidate should be 10+2 pass from a recognised board. # For general category 12th class % needed - 50% # For SC/STs 12th class % needed - 45% Age Criteria: #General and OBC Candidates - 20 years #SC/ST candidates - 22 years Or else you can go with subjects like pub ad. and sociology if you want to opt for law after BA. Re: which subjects should I opt in B.A in order to do LLB after that?
You don't need to choose any specific subjects in Bachelor of Arts to apply for LLB after that. Any graduation degree is sufficient to apply for the LLB course. Therefore you are free to choose the subjects for Bachelor of Arts course.
However if you have not yet applied for the Bachelor of Arts, may I suggest that you take the integrated LLB course. It can be pursued after completing 12th standard. The course offered in integrated LLB is called BA LLB. This is better than doing first BA and then applying for the LLB course. You can directly take admission for BA LLB course which has the duration of 5 years. This way you will end up saving one year. Most students who want to do LLB prefer doing integrated course. Both LLB 5 years and LLB 3 years hold same merit. You don't have to worry about that. To apply for BA LLB you will have to appear for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). CLAT Eligibility 1. You should be citizen of India. 2. Must have passed 12th standard from recognized board. 3. At least 45 percent marks in 12th. 4. SC and ST need 40 percent marks. 5. The age limit is 20 years to apply. 6. SC and ST should be less than 22 years to apply. 7. There is no relaxation for Other Backward Class (OBC). |

Re: which subjects should I opt in B.A in order to do LLB after that?
Dear Friend,
There is no need to choose any specific subject in B.A. in order to do LLB. If you have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized college then its enough to apply for the LLB Course. LLB Stands for Bachelor Of law. In order to pursue LLB , you have to crack the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). The Qualifications that you should have for LLB are : a) you must have passed 12th in any discipline from any recognized board. b) you must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in 12th. c) For SC/ST candidates , 40% marks is needed as minimum. d) Nationality : Indian e) Age Limit : 14-20 years. f) There is a relaxation of 2 years in upper age for SC/ST Candidates. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
