You can try for a job in MNC like Wipro. Qualifying GATE will help you to find a rewarding job in PSU. BHEL, BEL, NTPC, etc are some of the PSU offering Engineer Trainee jobs. Qualifying UPSC conducted ESE exam will be useful to find a job in engineering services sector. Specialist Officer profile in banks are suitable for you. In Railways, you can look for the job profile of Junior/Section Engineer.

If you want to get job on the basis of your previous work experience, then the percentage of marks that you secured will be least bothered.
But if you want to get job as a fresher, then the percentage of marks that you secure will play a key role. Because, the companies are putting the minimum academic criteria that is required is career 60 in the sense the candidates should have secured minimum 60% of marks in all the academic levels. After going through your percentage of marks, it revealed that you will not come under career 60 criteria as you have secured only 58% of marks in 12th class. In this case, you are not eligible to make entry into MNCs at fresher level. But once you get some work experience anywhere, then you can apply for jobs in MNCs. I think you might have heard of campus placements where in companies come to colleges and recruit the candidates. At that time some companies will recruit the candidates only on the basis of percentage of marks that the candidates will secure in B.Tech course by conducting some of the following rounds like Written Exam JAM Group Discussion Technical round HR round. If any such company you find, appear for the selection procedure and get the job. Out of the above mentioned rounds, the toughest round is technical round which is face to face Interview. You should have good subject knowledge and strong communication skills to perform well in this round. You did not mention the stream that you have completed in your B.Tech course. Collect the list of companies where job opportunities are being available for your B.Tech stream and know the eligibility criteria and selection procedure. If you are eligible, have good preparation for the selection procedure and crack it. Once you get into the company, you don't need to worry at all especially at fresher level. Because, in the company once you join, you will be provided training on the work that you have to do and support will be there. Wish you all the best. |
