Dear Aspirant,

Yes the aggregate sometimes does matter when you have really bad aggregate.

For example : 40%.

Or else in other case you dont have any problem with aggregate.

Since it is totally dependent on the GATE score and GATE Rank.

The Gate rank is an all india rank.So based on that only the colleges will take you.

So majorly there is no problem with the aggregate. This will be negotiable when you got a good score and a good rank in the gate exam.

And the exam score will be valid for two years. So you can join for college even if you have lost a 1 year in doing any job or work.

So gate is the only exam which provides this opportunity for the students. So good luck.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Dear friend,

Some iit's specify an aggregate cut off of 60% in Btech for admission to Mtech Programmes. For SC candidates cut off required is 55%. However admission is conducted on the basis of GATE score/GATE score+test. In case of tie, btech marks is considered.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
