As far as you are concerned about your eligibility for joining forest services being a first year student of B.Tech degree then I would like to let you know that you are not eligible at present as for joining forest services you need to have either completed your bachelor degree course or pursuing the final year of same degree.

Further for joining forest services you need to qualify Civil Services examination which is held by UPSC once every year and for more details regarding same examination you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in .

Indian Forest Services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Bachelor of engineering candidates are eligible for IFS examination. Preliminary examination is conducted through UPSC Civil Services.

2. Age limit is 21-30 years for general category candidates. Upper age relaxation of three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates.

You can apply for IFS examination in final year of B.Tech. At present, you are not eligible for examination.
