i have done my 10+2 (non med.) and i have scored 74% marks .now i am doing b.sc ,i am in 2nd year . do i have any career opportunity in air force

Career Opportunities in Indian Air Force after B.Sc.

Dear Friend

Following are the job opportunities in Indian Air Force for B.Sc. graduates.

Officer Category

1. Combined Defence Services.
The CDSE is conducted by UPSC twice a year.
You can apply for the exam during final year of B.Sc.
There are four wings of CDS viz; Air Force Services, Army Services, Naval Services and
Other Defence Service officers.
The training will be conducted in Air Force Academy, Indian Military Academy,
Indian Naval Academy and Officers' Training Academy respectively according to
the wing you select at the time of examination.
You can select any one of the four wings.
Visit http://upsc.gov.in/ for complete details in this regard.
There is no percentage restriction in CDSE but there is percentage bar of 60% marks
in B.Sc. in almost all other entry.

2. NCC Special Entry
If you have successfully completed NCC 'C' certification then you can apply for this
after completion of B.Sc. (or in final year) with at least 60% marks.

3. Flying Pilot Entry through SSC
You can apply for this entry during final year or after completion of B.Sc. with 60% marks.

The above three jobs are in Flying Branch of Indian Air Force.

Apart from these you can apply for Airmen jobs but graduation is not required for Airmen jobs.
As you have less than 2 years to complete graduation so I would suggest you to prepare
for above three mentioned jobs while completing your graduation so that you can
fetch something good as per your qualification as soon as you complete your degree.

Yes at this stage you do have a chance to join Indian Airforce and serve the nation.

After completing B.Sc you have to apply for the CDS examination.

The CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC every year for recruitement of officers in Naval Wing,Air Force and Army wing of CDS.

The eligibilty criteria to apply for the CDS examination is that the candidate must has passed graduation and the age of the candidate must be less than 24 years.

As you are in Graduation and if you are with in the age limit criteria then you can apply for the examination.

Hello friend,
Since you are pursuing BSc, you can definitely make career in the Indian Air Force after completion of the program.
After qualifying the final year examination, you will be eligible to apply for the Combined Defense Service Exam, conducted by the union public service exam.
Apart from holding a bachelors degree, one must have studied physics and maths at +2 level, to be eligible for the combined defense service exam.

The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 23 years.

There are some selection procedure such as:

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women

Age:

i)19 to 23 years
ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India.
Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.

Marital Status:
You have to be Single.

Nationality:
You have to be Indian

Gender:
Men and women can apply for the examination.

Educational Qualifications

1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

or
You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters.

Generally,the notice is published in the month of March and September every year.

How To Join Air Force After Graduation

In order to join Air Force..you need to complete your B.Sc first and after that you can appear in the CDS (Combined Defense Services) Exam which is conducted twice every year in the months of February and August for which the forms shall be released in the months of October and June respectively..

Eligibility Criteria :-

1) You should be a graduate from an AICTE or UGC recognized University

2) You should be within the age limit of 19-23 years

Exam Pattern :-

The written exam will be a 300 marks objective questions test where you will be tested on the following areas :-

General Knowledge
Basic Maths
English

You need to first clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

can you please tell what is the selection procedure for B.Tech(cse) passouts???And as i'm pursuing my final year when will be the openings???

if i m appearing or completing the graduation in the 24 years old at that time shall i get the entry in the cds examination?
