There is no any reservation quota for Border Area students. The reservation is applicable only on the basis of caste. If you are other general category then you will get reservation in cut-off marks.

The cut-off marks for various category of students are : General: 25 Marks, OBC: 20 Marks and for SC/ST/Physicall Handicapped: 18 Marks.

This cut-off marks is general just an approximate value and may vary year wise.

If you are under reserved category then you will get benefits of fee concession and for General/OBC/ND students the application fee is Rs.1600 whereas for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped it is only Rs.600 & No application fees for female candidates.

Validity of the GATE score : 2 years
