Sure there are good opportunities in this field. Your degree is considered equivalent to the B.Tech. So you can choose to work in any of the areas you have interest in. This includes both software and hardware field. You must work towards fulfilling your aspirations.

Re: Is there a good future for MCA students?
Yes. There is good career scope for the candidates who have completed MCA course.
MCA stands for Master of Computer Applications. This is a 3 year Post Graduation course being offered by many of the colleges in India. One can get good job opportunities in IT sector after completion of this course. Even the candidates will go for job opportunities in public sector as per their interest. Some of the top IT companies in India that are recruiting these candidates are TCS INFOSYS WIPRO MICROSOFT ORACLE DELL DELLOITE GOOGLE etc. The minimum salary that will be offered for the candidates is in the range of 3-5 lakhs in these top MNCs. You mentioned like you are going to complete MCA course by next year and hence this is the crucial time for you which you have to make most out of it. From the next academic year, you will be eligible to attend for the campus placements. I don't know the track record of placements in your college but I suggest you to attend for Off campus placements and Job Melas as well to get a job. Make sure that you are going to get the job by the time you complete your course otherwise you will have to face strong competition in outside market. Try to be strong enough in -One front end technology like C, Java, .Net etc. -One backend technology like Oracle -2 Operating systems to get a job at entry level. Wish you all the best. |
