Re: Tips for preparation of IES examination?
IES Preparation and A Brief About It. Introduction IES i.e Indian Engineering Services Exam is held once in a year and It is being conducted by upsc Government. This Year IES Exam is on 14 May 2011. Eligibility Being a B.tech student, You are Partially Eligible because Only specific branches Students are only allowed to write IES Exam.. i.e Only Mechanical , Civil ,Electrical and Entc Students Only.. If you are from above named branch then you are Eligible, And it also have Age limits. You must have acquired minimum of 21 years of age and should not attained 30 years of age. As you are In Final Year Of Engineering, and if you are Eligible to write by observing above Eligibility Criter then Yes you must have completed the courses and Syllabus which are there in IES Syllabus. Re: Tips for preparation of IES examination?
IES exam consists of the whole syllabus that you have learned in your four years of b.tech course....
Only four branches are the main category of IES exam-- Electrical Civil Mechanical Electronics and telecommunication but If you don't belong to any of the above branches (since you have not mentioned what's your branch), you still can sit for the exam.... but for this you have to choose any of the above four streams as you IES subject. and you have to prepare for that chosen stream. so if are one of the above stream graduate, then 2months preparation is alright. (hoping all that you have learned in these four years will get revised in next 2 months). but you are from any other stream, then 2 months preparation is not at all enough. normally people say, IES preparation should be started from the 2nd or 3rd year of engineering.... because the IES syllabus is vast, you should know that. you are going to sit for it in the next two months.... so all the best. don't get panicked. prepare as much as possible.... good luck. |
