M Sc Mathematics can be opted only after completing graduation with Mathematics as the main subject.
The candidate is required to obtain at least 60% in aggregate, in the qualifying examination i.e. graduation.
Almost in every college, admission to M Sc Mathematics is done on the basis of an entrance test.
After completing M Sc Mathematics, one can go for research programmes or opt for becoming teacher in school/college, after doing B Ed (for school teaching) or qualifying in CSIR UGC NET (for college level teaching).
