If you have completed your B.Sc/BE/BTech with a minimum of 60% marks and have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level, you can apply for Flying (Pilot) Short Service Commission. The age limit for the same is 19-23 years.
You may also apply in the technical department as an aeronautical engineer, Provided you have studied a minimum of eight subjects from the following list.

Inspite of this , i am suggesting you.There are various level for the applying air force.

That are as follows:



you can join air force in a two category

1.Air man

2.Flying Leutinent


Air man : To join air force as a Air man, you have to appear in the exam of


two categories

either technical entry scheme or non technical entry scheme.

The eligibility for both is +2 with PCM.


Flying Leutinent : To become a Flying Leutinent in indian Air force,

you have to appear in the exam of NDA,after qualifying this exam,

you will be call for AFSB, after clearing this you will become


flying leutinent. eligibility is pass in +2 with PCM.


Joinining airforce as an engineer


There are three ways,through which you can join indian air force . Those ways are as follows :

UES(university entry scheme) : through this scheme ,you have to face direct interview

and after getting success you will be call for AFSB. you can appear for this in your 3rd

year and 4th year.


2.EKT(engineering knowledge test): Through this scheme you have to give a written


test,after completing this stage you will be call for AFSB.

3. SSC(short service commission) : In this scheme,also you have to appear

for written test.After clearing written test you will be called for AFSB.Actually in this

scheme, you will be commissioned for 15 years in the force.


NOTE : Friend,for the preparation of written test ,you have to read the mechanics,

math,physics of 1st year.

Career in Indian airforce is full of adventure and life.There you will get

First you should mention which standard are you in now?
There are so many ways to enter.
1. After10th class, called airman
2. After 10+2, You can write exam called NDA conducted by UPSC.
3. After degree, CDS exam again conducted by UPSC.

It is very difficult to suggest anything as you didn't mentioned your qualification. But there are many post which a candidate can apply for with their respective qualification.
Flying Branch,Technical Branch,Logistics,Administration etc these are the good post in which a graduation students can apply.
For airman or NDA a 12th pass student can apply.

You can join any of the technical stream since you are an engineering graduate.
you can join army either through university entry scheme or through CDS exam conducted by UPSC each year

10. Indian Navy SSC Officer - Selection Procedure
(a) Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) Interviews based on their performance in educational qualification.
If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off.
Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) (IHQ-MoD (Navy)) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage without assigning any reason.
No communication will be entertained on this account.
(b) SSB Interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled during Jan to Jun 2010 at Bangalore, Bhopal or Coimbatore.
(c) The SSB interview is conducted over five days in two stages.
Stage - I include intelligence Test, Picture Perception test and Group discussion and is conducted on the first day.
Stage - II includes Psychological Tests, Group Task and personal interview conducted over the balance four days.
Candidates failing to qualify a particular stage would be sent back the same day.
Successful candidates would then have to clear a special medical examination at the same venue (approx duration 3-5 days).
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit will be appointed for training in order of all India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
(e) Change of SSB centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
(f) Candidates who wish to change their SSB dates, must apply to the President of the SSB.
(g) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained during the selection process.
(h) Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for this entry would be eligible free rail sleeper class return fare.

11. Duties of the Logistics officer and Catering officer are as follows:
(a) Logistics Officer:
As a Logistics Officer you will be dealing with the Logistics aspects of Men & Material for the Warships.
In no other career does an Officer gets exposed to such a wide spectrum of opportunities to keep abreast of modern and latest development in the field of management & finance.
(b) Catering Officer:
Two vacancies will be reserved for graduates in Hotel/Hospitality Management, who would be employed in the Navy only for jobs directly related to their specialization e.g. select Naval Messes (ashore and onboard ships), training, and other jobs concerning food/ beverages, rations, and housekeeping, as deemed appropriate.
