Biomedical Engineering is all about designing and conceptualize the equipments and tools in order to improve the heath care system. As you have seen many kinds of equipments used in hospitals/nursing homes, like those machines for CT scan, X-ray, Ultrasound and other medical equipments including Pacemakers are the results of Biomedical Engineering.
In order to pursue the course of bachelors level in this field of engineering, one must have studied Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects along with subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science etc.

Bio Medical Engineering is one of the latest branches of Engineering. It is a streamlined engineering degree. It could be considered as an extension of Bio technology Engineering. It concentrates on the Bio-Tech principles being utilized in the field of medicines. The design, manufacture and service of the various equipments that are being used in the medical facilities now constitute Bio- Medical engineering.
