Some of the best branches in Polytechnic courses are:
1. Diploma in Electrical engineering. 2. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. 3. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 4. Diploma in Civil Engineering. These streams of diploma have good job scope and after diploma, you can apply for LEET exam for admission directly in the second year of engineering for better career opportunities and job scope. You can apply for Polytechnic examination of your state. Even if you have 40% marks in tenth board examination, you can apply for polytechnic entrance exam. |

Re: What are the branches in Polytechnic courses and what percentage is required in 10th to be eligible?
For doing poytechnic just completing 10th standard is sufficient. There is no percentage criteria.
There are more than 30 courses available in poytechnic for joining after 10 class. but most of them prefer the below listed courses: 1.Computer Engineering 2.Automobile Engineering 3.Chemical Engineering 4.Civil Engineering 5.Computer Science and Engineering 6.Electronics and Communication Engineering 7.Electrical and Electronics Engineering 8.Information Technology 9.Mechanical Engineering 10.Mechanical Engineering (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) 11.Mechanical Engineering (Tool and Die) 12.Production and Industrial Engineering etc. were some of them. All these courses will be of 3 years duration then after completing any one of the above mentioned courses then directly you can enter into any engineering college in the 2nd year as a lateral entry by writing an entrance examination. In terms of job i suggest you to opt for either CSE or ECE so that you can crack a software job very easily after completing you engineering or else in the college placement's itself. |
