what is the career in ips?...please tell me what are the career options available

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

Regarding career option, this post carries a very challenging career through out the service tenure which depends upon one's commitment and interest towards the service. With tactfully handling a situation with due respect to the interest of a State, one can achieve a higher reputation in this service with reward of promotion to higher post.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with certain prescribed Physical Fitness standard, can apply for IPS through Civil Service Exam.
