The Common Law Admission Test for the year 2011, has already been conducted on 15-05-2011 and the session with the CLAT qualified candidates has already been started for this year. To apply for the upcoming CLAT, you will have to wait for the notification which is supposed to be published during the month of January-February 2012. Once the notification is published, you will be able to obtain the application form from any of the universities participating in the test. For more information, refer to the official website of CLAT. |

For the LLB course you need to obtain a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognised board. In addition to that you need to secure minimum 50% of marks in aggregate if you belong to the general category. There is some relaxation for the reserved category candidates. They needs to get 45% of marks in aggregate to sit for this exam. If you are a final year student then also you are eligible to give this examination. The minimum age limit for General and OBC candidates is 20 years. For SC and ST candidates and PWD candidates the upper age limit is 22 years old. For the LLM course you need have obtained a LL.B/B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university. Along with that you need to secure minimum 55% of marks at graduation level if you belong to the general category. For the SC/ST students the percentage to acquire is 50% of marks in aggregate. If you are appearing or have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results then also you are eligible to appear in the test. If you are a final year student then you will be given provisional admission and within a time limit you will be asked to submit the final results of qualifying examination. There is no age criteria to follow as such. CLAT exam this year took place in the month of May. Generally the sales of forms starts from January and this year too the rule didnt change. So if you have missed the chance of giving the exam this year then try again next year and right from the first month keep a track of every news related to CLAT.
