How to Fill CLAT Application Forms?
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a test carried out by the 11 National Law Universities for the admittance of students into the graduate and postgraduate level courses offered by them. More details about the exam are given below.
Availability of CLAT Information Brochure and Application Form
The OMR admission form together with the Brochure will be available at the price of Rs. 150/- from designated post offices or Head post offices across the nation. It is accessible at any of the 11 National Law Universities as well.
Those who wish to procure the form by means of post must send a requisition letter alongside a DD of the required amount taken in name of the WBNUJS-CLAT. It is to be addressed to the Convener, Common Law Admission Test, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.
Exemptions to Be Taken Care While Filling In Form
The admission form is to be dispatched to the address concerned together with a DD or Bankers Cheque of Rs. 2500/- for general candidates and Rs. 2000/- for students of the reserved categories. The DD ought to be taken in the name of WBNUJS-CLAT and must be payable at Kolkata. Those forms that are incomplete or are received after the final date will not be considered by the university.
Instructions to Be Followed For Filling in Form
- Students are to only fill in the columns that are applicable for them.
- The form must be filled completely
- All the pertinent information needed is to be written by students in BLOCK LETTERS.
- Only Black/Blue ball point pens are to be employed. The corresponding circles are to be darkened using only HB pencil.
- A recent 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photograph of the applicant is to be fixed in the space designated.
Procedure for Sending the Filled Physical Application Form:
Students are to fill in all applicable fields. It is also required by them to not tear, staple or damage the form by any means. The signature as well as photograph of the applicant is to be affixed where asked.
With The Application Enclose the Required Copies of these Certificates
Students must affix attested copies of the following with the exam application:
- All certificates of the previous year alongside the mark sheets.
- Caste certificates (if any)
- NRI sponsorship certificate (if any)
- Certificate of Disability
Last Date for Receipt of Applications
The submission of the CLAT application form can be done online. Another option available for students is to submit the form directly or by post. The form is to reach the concerned address before the first week of April.
Acknowledgement of Exam Application Form
Once the online application is received, an email will be sent to the candidate as acknowledgement. If the application was submitted by post, candidates will have to wait until they get the hall ticket receipt.
