What is difference between IIT and NIT?
Can anyone tell me how much mark do I need to get into IIT and NIT.

Differences between IIT and NIT
IITs are National wide institutes right from the beginning NITs are converted from Regional Engineering colleges. Education from both is equally compitable with any foreign institutes.
The rank is normally done on the basis of percentage of score. It is calculated on the basis of high score in the exam. so it was changed year to year.

Both IITs and NITs are govt institutes and funded by central govt of India and many other organizations. IITs have more reputation as compared to NITs due to their better infrastructure and faculty .IITs have higher placement and high packages are offered to IITians.Following are top IITs-
