What is the difference between state and CBSE syllabus?

my son is studying 5th class now i want to change the school. which one i have to choose the syllabus cbse or state syllabus.
which syllabus is the best to prepare for IIT or ENGINEERING.

cbse is the best ... coz the teaching will be advanced . and the cbse students will have more knowledge when compared to state board students .... CBSE will help us for our career .. no w am too joining for 11th std and am taking cbse ...
