You Have Not mention in your question, that you are interested to open a Nusery school or Schools at 12th level.

But to Start a Private School is a lengthy and complicated Process.

But to start a schools you need a group of individuals has to be registered as a society under the Societies Recognition Act, 1860 It means a school has to be set up strictly as a non-profit business.

And then you needs to obtain an Essentiality Certificate EC from the DoE. So, EC is an essential document certifying the requirement of a school in the particular zone where you are intrested to established a school.

After the school has been established, then you needs to apply for recognition with the concerned authority. Recognition up to 5th standard is granted by MCD and up to 8th standard by the DoE.

But if you are intersted to recognition up to 10th and 12th standard, then for this you have to obtain recognition from DoE, a set of 17 documents is to be submitted along with the application And you also need to apply for affiliation with CBSE.

So, to Open a school you need to obtain these licences, only then you can open a school -

A licence of Societies Recognition Act, 1860

Essentiality Certificate from DoE

Certificate of Recognition From MCD

Certificate of Upgradation From DOE

Certificate of Affiliation From CBSE
