IIT JEE stands for Indian institute of technology Joint entrance exam exam.
This is the entrance exam which can help the candidate for getting admission into good engineering colleges/university for higher studies.
Many colleges/university gives admission only on the basis of rank which can be secured in the JEE exams.
So it is necessary for clearing these entrance exam if you have a dream to get admission into top engineering colleges.

IIT-JEE stands for Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance examination ws the separate entrance examination conducted for admission in the IITs ( Indian Institute of Technology ) till 2012. But from 2013 it got replaced by JEE ( Joint entrance examination ) which is held once every year for admissions in IITs as well as all other government or private engineering colleges.

--> JEE is organised by CBSE once every year in two stages which includes JEE Mains and JEE Advance respectively. Also for appearing in the same examination you must have the qualifications given here under :-

* You must be an Indian citizen with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years till the 31st December of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination.

* You must have completed your higher secondary degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects with a minimum of 60% aggregate ( in case of reserved category category it must be 50% ) from a recognized institute. Students having equivalent degree or pursuing final year of these degree courses are also eligible.

Yes you have to prepare for this examination very nicely as the admission in done for very limited test. Also the level of questions asked are bit higher as that asked in normal board or competitive examination as the questions are more often than not application based.

For more details about the same examination log on to the official link of JEE i.e; www.jeemain.nic.in.
