Re: How to prepare for IIT-JEE along with board exams?
As you have heard the quote that,"Duvidha mein dono gaye, maya mili na Ram".so its better to think the prior one first. As 12th exams are the base of your career. So don't make any compromise them with other exams. So its better to achieve your target of 95% in board exams first. If that level exists,as you will yourself make an evaluation of marks after your exams then definitely your confidence level arises & you will be able to achieve the second target also i.e to revise your iit-jee exam syllabus.
Different colleges accept the ranks according to the seats available in their colleges. So dont think about the rank,if you are well prepared then definitely get a good rank. |

Just keep revising things and you will surely hit the bulls eye. Regarding the metallurgy branch, the minimum rank you must have to achieve is AIR 3000. But even if you score in top 10 and you want to study metallurgy , nobody will restrict you that you are not eligible for selecting the stream. Best wishes... |

Re: How to prepare for IIT-JEE along with board exams?
hey,
At this time you have 2 options and you can choose any one of those. First Option: If you really think you can crack IIT test, then you need to stop worrying about the boards and completely concentrate IIT. Because if you are able to understand IIT level, you can easily prepare for the boards just a month before the boards. Second Option: If you think iit is way beyond your reach, then you should forget about IIT and prepare for the boards. Because it is better to do one thing properly than doing two things improperly. But one thing that you must keep in mind that whichever option you take, you must do the NCERT books of all physics, chemistry and mathematics very carefully. Because it contains the basics and if basics are not clear, you can understand nothing. Choose wisely and Best of luck I hope this message helps you. |

For board exam, you should study your text books seriously. After completing your text books you should practice previous year question papers regularly.
For IIT-JEE exam you can follow some competitive books like Arihant, Pradip, Dinesh etc. You can take coaching from the best coaching institutes in India. My opinion is that FITJEE will bethe best coaching institutes for IIT-JEE. Other coaching institutes for IIT-JEE is Narayana, Aakash, Pathfinder,Nice. |

Re: How to prepare for IIT-JEE along with board exams?
Concentrate on this -
Total paper of IIT-JEE, AIEEE and other exams are based on NCERT Books. None of question is not out of 11th and 12th standard Books. So firstly concentrate on CBSE issued NCERT books. Of course For clearing doubts and concepts you have to buy another book away from NCERT.. So on the basis my companion HC verma and ARIHANT books are very good to study to understand concepts easily.. OR you can go for FITJEE Notes they are difficult to read but seriously they are very helpful to you.. Some easy and most important chapters are- Optics is the unit which is simple to learn and In IIT exam there are lots of question from Optics. Electronics devices Waves Communication system Maths- Trigonometry Matrix and determent Probability In chemistry all inorganic and Organic part are most important.... I think it will helpful to you.. |

Re: How to prepare for IIT-JEE along with board exams?
The best way to prepare for JEE both Main & Advanced is to begin just after the 12th exams beginning with basics and as you move on solving questions from practice books and then taking timed mock tests. I have found really good series of JEE books for main & advanced by Wiley Maestro and they have useful resources on their website as well.

Re: How to prepare for IIT-JEE along with board exams?
You cannot revise the entire syllabus of IIT JEE and thus you must by the end of your board exams have decided what your strong and weak subjects are and focus more on your strong subjects in that period of 10 days.
Everyday after school or coaching class you must study seperately for both the board exams as well as your entrance exam. 6 hours for IIT JEE and 2 hours for board exams considering that you already study for 6 hours in your coaching class strictly for IIT JEE. |
