Customs officers are employed by HM Revenue & Customs Ministry department.

Customs officers are responsible for helping to prevent the importation into the country of illegal and/or dangerous goods including firearms, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and endangered animals.

They check the goods are officially imported/exported based on that they act on the goods.

They seize the goods which are smuggled goods.

They totally work on the import and the export of the Goods.

Total work is in the hands of these officers.

So they have a great amount of work and also a good pay of salary.
