Re: What are the educational qualifications needed to appear for JELET?
JELET (Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry) is a competitive entrance examination conducted in India for admission to the second year (third semester) of the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programs in various engineering colleges. The educational qualifications needed to appear for JELET may vary slightly depending on the specific requirements of each state or institution. However, here are the general educational qualifications required:
Diploma Holders: Candidates must have completed a three-year diploma program in engineering or technology from a recognized board or institution. The diploma should be in a relevant branch of engineering, such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, etc. B.Sc. Graduates: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with Mathematics as a subject in their curriculum may also be eligible to appear for JELET. The B.Sc. degree should be from a recognized university or institution. Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate percentage in their diploma or B.Sc. degree, as specified by the conducting authority. The minimum marks requirement may vary from state to state or institution to institution. State Residency: Some states may have specific requirements regarding residency or domicile. Candidates may be required to provide proof of residency or domicile in the respective state for which they are applying. It is important to note that the specific eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, may be subject to change. Therefore, it is advisable to refer to the official information brochure or website of the respective examination authority conducting JELET in your state or region for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding eligibility requirements. |
