To become a Indian Police Service officer,you should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university and your age should be between 21 to 30 years.
Once you fulfill with this criteria,then you should appear for civil service exam,to become a Indian Police Service Officer. This is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and the examination is divided in to three successive stages. The Preliminary Examination and The Main Examination. Interview Eligibility IPS exam: Age should be 21 years (minimum) and 30 years (maximum). SC/ST/OBC and ex-servicemen are given exemption of 3 to 5 years in maximum age limit. The student must be a degree holder of any recognized university. The final year degree students are also applying for the examination. Who have completed their M.B.B.S.,can also apply. Physical qualification for IPS: Height: For male should be 165cm and female should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum male candidates are 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. The physical standards are weekly run for 10kms in 60 minutes. Preliminary Examination: In this have multiple choice questions and this is also a qualifying for second exam. hello
look at this time you are in your third year ,so now it is not possible to appear in the examination.so, you have to wait for the next upcoming year. the final year candidtes are eligible for the exam. ips is the indian police service. for this position you have to clear the UPSE examination. the main eligiblity criteria is to become a graducate. thanks.. |

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC every year. Through this exam you can join in police service in officer post.. Eligibility for IPS exam:- 1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade. 2.Candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation. 3.Age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. 4.Candidate must be a citizen of India. As you are pursuing your BE course then when you will be in final year of BE course then you can appear in IPS exam.. So, next year you will be eligible to appear in IPS exam.. All the best. |

Civil Services Examination is the most prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various All India Services including I.A.S., I.P.S., I.F.S.,I.R.S., and various Group A Services and Group B Services. The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages. 1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type) (Usually conducted in May) 2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written) (Conducted during October/November) 3. Interview and final Selection (During April/May) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :: 1. Minimum Educational Qualification: Degree of any recognized university. However candidates studying in final year examination may apply for Preliminary. U have go appear in the civil
setrvice exam only after gettinga sufficient high rank u will be permitted to have ips as ur career. the exam forma are available in the month of jan feb every year and forms will be available at the post office of every district i.e. Upsc forms.. |
