Re: What is the eligibility criteria for NET exam? I have done B.A programme in economics
Dear Sradhika,
NET Stands for National Eligibility Test. This Test is conducted twice every year by the University Grants Commission. The Test is conducted in the months of June and december for the posts of JRF and Lectureship. The Eligibility Criteria For NET Examination are : a) you must have completed your post graduation from any recognized university. b) You must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in post graduation. c) There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates. d) There is no age limit for the post of Lectureship. e) But if you want to apply for the post of JRF , then your age should lie in between 21-28 years. f) You must be an Indian Citizen. As you have completed B.A. in Economics , you are currently ineligible for the NET Examination. So first you have to complete your post graduation if you want to appear for the NET Exam. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
