Re: What is the eligibility for PSU?
If you have completed B.Tech degree then yes you are eligible for the Public Sector Undertaking exam. Your percentage is more than 64% which is sufficient enough to apply for the PSU job.
Public Sector Undertaking is the term coined to refer companies under the control of the government. Generally the government has minimum of 51 percent stake in such companies which is required to keep control over it. There is no common written test for the Public Sector Undertaking. There are more than 150 such companies in India and each conduct a entrance exam according to its own need. So if you want to appear for PSU entrance exam then keep an eye on the newspapers and employment weeklies for the notification by any Public Sector company. Read the notification properly and check whether there is any vacancy for Engineering candidate from your branch. Only then apply for the job. There are two stages of entrance exam. First is written test and second is interview. Although several companies have migrated to GATE entrance exam and do not conduct the written test anymore. Therefore you should appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE). To apply for PSU job, you must have the following criteria. PSU Eligibility 1. The candidate should have Indian citizenship. 2. B.Tech/B.E. degree from AICTE recognized college. 3. With 60 percent or more marks. 4. A valid GATE score. 5. Should not have any backlogs when applying. 6. The age limit is 21 to 30 years for the exam. 7. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 8. While the relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST. Re: What is the eligibility for PSU?
Dear Friend,
You are eligible for PSUs if you don't have any existing backlogs in B.Tech. But, now most of the PSUs does not conduct their own recruitment examination and call for interview based on the GATE score. So, you will have to apply for GATE examination and separately for all the PSUs in which you want to appear. GATE examination is conducted every year on 2nd Sunday of February. Thank you. |
