Hi,

You are eligible to join Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

The eligibility criteria are different for different organisations but few things are mostly common among all.

The selection process has two stages:

1. GATE Written Test
2. Interviews conducted by PSUs

You will have to apply for GATE examination and then individually in all the PSUs that you want to join.

GATE details are available on this link:

Thank you.

Yes 6.8 CGPA is good enough for job in Public Sector Undertaking. It is almost 65 percent marks where to get job in Public Sector Undertaking, you are required to secure 60 percent marks.

You can apply but have to appear for the entrance exam to get job. Unfortunately there is no common entrance exam in Public Sector Undertaking. Which means that you keep an eye on notification from any Public Sector Undertaking.

Must check whether you are meeting the qualification criteria to appear for the entrance exam. While all PSUs hire Engineering graduates. One must see whether there is any vacancy for candidates of your Engineering branch.

Before you apply for the Public Sector Undertaking exam please keep couple of things in mind. There should be no backlogs pending. Must clear them before applying for the job.

Secondly you may or may not be required to appear for written test. Each company has its own preference. Some conduct written test while others ask for GATE score. To be on the case side you should appear for the GATE entrance exam.

Even if the companies that hold written test, give importance to the GATE score. A candidate with good GATE score is given exemption from giving written test.

The GATE score is valid for 2 years therefore if you appeared for it lately, it will be accepted. But a score more than 2 years old will not be accepted and you will have to reappear for the GATE exam.

PSU Eligibility

1. Have to be Indian citizen to apply.

2. Engineering graduates are eligible to apply.

3. Secure 60 percent marks in Engineering graduation.

4. There is a need of GATE score in some PSUs.

5. You should be within the age limit of 21 to 30 years.

6. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

7. Relaxation is 5 years for SC and ST.
