What is the eligibility to write NET/SET exam?


Respected Sir.,
I have passed my M.Sc.IT in this year (2013) with 53% marks. Am i eligible to write the NET/SET exams as i want to continue my further studies as well as work as a professor.
Please help.

The Educational Qualification required for NET exam is masters degree with above 55% marks . 5% marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST category.

There is a age criteria for Junior Research Fellowship .Your age should be below 28 years old. Age relaxation unto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD / OBC .For the post of Lectureship , There is no upper age limit .

You have completed M.Sc(IT) degree with 53 % so you are not eligible for NET exam .Only you can apply UGC NET exam if you are from SC/ST .
