Re: What is the fee structure for CLAT? I am in 12th class
Common Law Admission Test or CLAT is the entrance exam for under graduate law course known as integrated LLB or BA LLB course. The duration of this course is 5 years.
In this integrated course you will study a graduation degree like Bachelor of Arts, Commerce etc and the LLB. This combined course is called integrated LLB or BA+LLB, B.Com+LLB etc. The Common Law Admission Test is for students who have completed 12th standard and not graduation. There is no point is doing graduation again. Those who have already graduate should apply for the 3 years LLB. Please remember that 3 years LLB is not offered through Common Law Admission Test. The Common Law Admission Test is conducted for the National Law University. To answer your question, there is only one NLU in Uttar Pradesh. The name of the university is Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (RMLNLU). There are 13 other NLU in India that are located in different states like Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh etc. You can also try to take admission in these colleges. The career scope is very good after completing BA LLB course. You can appear for exam to become government lawyer or practice on your own. You can also start or work in a law firm. Some Law graduates start by working under some other experienced lawyer before practicing individually. Government lawyers can go on to become judges as well. Bottom line is that there is good scope after completing law degree. CLAT Eligibility 1. You must pass 12th to apply for CLAT. 2. Subjects should be any in 12th standard. 3. Must have 45 percent marks in 12th. 4. 40 percent required for SC/ST/PWD. 5. The age limit is 20 years for CLAT. 6. 2 years relaxation for SC/ST/PWD. CLAT FEE The Application Forms as well the Information Brochure of Common Law Admission Test is made available at the selected branches of State Bank of India. You can purchase it by making the following payment. General - Rs 3,000/- SC/ST - Rs 2,500/- |
