Re: What is the first step to be taken to become a lawyer after inter?
If you want to become lawyer then first you should complete 12th standard. After which you can apply for the integrated LLB course. This course include a bachelor degree like B.Com, BA, BBA and LLB degree.
It is a combined degree which you can complete in 5 years. It is better way to become lawyer then the second procedure. In the second procedure you will first complete graduation and then apply for the 3 years LLB course. With second procedure you will become lawyer in 6 years while by choosing the integrated LLB course you can finish law in just 5 years. This is the only advantage you will get. Both procedures will hold same merit value. For the integrated LLB course you will have to apply for the Common Law Admission Test. But it can only be done once you have finished 12th standard. Through this entrance exam, top law colleges in India known as National Law University offers admission. To apply for CLAT you should have finished 12th since several documents related to 12th standard will be asked to show at the time of applying. You can choose any stream any subjects in 12th to become lawyer. CLAT Eligibility 1. Finish the 12th standard from a recognized board like CBSE. 2. Score 45 percent or more marks in the board exams. 3. SC/ST will have to score a minimum of 40 percent marks. 4. Your age should be less than 20 years to apply. 5. 2 years relaxation given for SC/ST/PWD candidates. |
