NET Stands for National Eligibility Test and this examination is conducted by University Grants Commission twice in a year . This examination will held in the month of June and December . This year June notification was already published in the official website of UGC .

Important dates to apply :-

• Last date for receipt of application :- 30.04.12
• Last date for receiving the documents at the test Center :- 07.05.12
• Date of examination :- 24.06.12

Qualification required :-
--------------------------

The applicant need to completed master degree with any desire subject from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the applicant must secure at least 55% aggregate marks in their examination . 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates . Those who are pursing in the final year of master degree may also eligible to apply for NET examination .

Age limits for NET examination :-

JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) :- The candidate age should not more than 28 years as on 1st june of the year of examination and relaxation is given to the reserved categories . Reserved categories are SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH candidates .

Lectureship :- There is no upper age limits for this examination .

• General candidates :- 450 /-
• OBC candidates :- 225 /-
• SC/ST/PH/VH candidates :- 110 /-
