The notification regarding the upcoming National Eligibility Test, which is supposed to be conducted in the month of June, has not been yet published.
The test is yet to be scheduled and as soon as the University Grant Commission(UGC) schedules the test, the notification will be published on www.ugcnetonline.in.

The website mentioned above is to be referred to apply online for the National Eligibility Test.

Candidates who have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the masters degree program (50% for SC/ST) are only considered eligible for the test.

NET - NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC twice a year one in June and other in the month of December for selection of Lectureship and award to JRF(Junior Research Fellowship).

The candidate having Post Graduation Degree in any stream with 55% marks from a recognised University not bellow the age of 19 years, is eligible to apply for NET.

There is no upper age bar for those applying for Lectureship and those applying for JRF should not be more then 28 years.

The notification for June NET exam has already been announced, the submission of forms for NET has been started from 29.03.2012 till 25.04.2012.

NET can be applied through on line. The last date of receiving hard copy of on line application at the test center with requisite fees an ailed documents will be within 02.05.2012.

The exam will be held on 26.06.2012.

The important dates for NET June 2012 exam is as under-

Application Submission End Date : Monday; Apr. 30, 2012
Last date for receiving the documents* at the test center : Monday; May 07, 2012

Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for tech candidates of sc/st category.
Age limit:
there is no upper age limit for the candidate Lectureship.
But for JRF, one should be in the age group of 19-28 years.

Educational Qualifications for the UGC-NET exams is:
Post Graduation pass
