Bachelor degree is mandatory to apply for CAT entrance examination. So, after completing graduation course with 50% percentage of marks then you're eligible to apply for CAT entrance examination. CAT stands for Common Admission Test and this Entrance Examination is Conducted by Indian Institute of Management for every once in a year. To apply for CAT examination then the candidate should be hold three bachelor degree course with 50% percentage of marks from reorganized university and Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this entrance examination. CAT's full form is Common Admission Test and this examination is conducted by the IIM's. Its one of the most popular MBA Entrance exam and every year lacs of students appears for this exam. By using CAT score you can get an entry to not only one of the IIM's, but also in the other top colleges as well which accepts CAT scores.
If you want to sit for CAT examination then you need to have a graduation degree first. This degree can be attained in any discipline of your choice and in addition to that you should have at least 50% of marks in aggregate at graduation level. This examination can be given even in the final year of college provided you complete the degree and obtain the cutoff percentage within the stipulated time frame.There is no age limit for candidates as per the CAT. Most of the top colleges including IIM's prefer to give admission to students with prior work experience but this is not mandatory. As far as the exam pattern is concerned, CAT exam is mainly a computer based multiple choice objective type. Unlike last year, this year the exam will be conducted in one single day and the duration of the exam is going to be 170 minutes. Here is a list of the top colleges where you can apply:-
