KAS- stands for Karnataka Administrative Services. It brings youths in administration work so as to make the working body of government efficient.
For applying KAS exam you should be graduate from a recognized university. You should score first class marks in graduation.
Age limit : Minimum age limit 21 years
Maximum age limit 30 years.
Relaxation for SC/ST and OBC categories.

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the KAS exam is as follows:-
a) Must be a citizen of India
b) Age limit should be 21 - 35 for General Category
Relaxation of 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST is applicable
c) Educational qualification :-
Must has passed out Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.
Selection pattern followed by the KPSC is as follows :-

Karnataka government has prescribed certain eligibility criterias to be eligible for KAS.

KAS refers to Karnataka Administrative Services.

Minimum age to apply to KAS is 21 years, for general category.

Maximum age to apply for KAS is 30 years, for general category.

For OBC category it is 21 years to 33 years

For SC/ ST category it is 21 years to 35 years.

Other important criteria to be eligible for KAS is GRADUATION from a recognised university.

Just llike IAS exam, KAS exam is also conducted in three stages -

Preliminary exam.

main exam.

Interview.

Details for Appearing in KAS(Karnataka Administrative Services)

Age Requirement :-

-->>Your minimum age should be 21 years.
-->>Your upper age should not be above 28 years.

Marks :-

-->>Your minimum marks in Graduation should be 50%.

Age Relaxation for Reserved category Candidates :-

-->>If you are under OBC category then - 3 years.
-->>If you are from SC/ST Category then - 5 years.

Exam Pattern for KAS :-

-->>There will be 2 papers in Preliminary Exam.
-->>Each paper will be of 200 marks.
-->>Each paper will contain 100 Questions.

Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) Every Year KPSC Conducts KAS Exam (Prelims) Exam in February and The KAS (Main) Exam in the month of June.

KAS Prelims Exam Expected Date can be in February 2013.
KAS Main Exam Expected Date can be in June 2013.

The candidates should be a graduate .
The age limit is 21 - 30 yrs
There is a age relaxation for reserved candidates.

KAS is Karnataka Administrative Services.

The basic qualification needed for Karnataka Administrative Services Examination is Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.

The age is also a criteria for applying. Hence your age should be between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category Candidate.

There is age relaxation available for other categories like OBC, SC/ST, PWD and Ex Servicemen.

The number of attempts are limited if you are General and OBC category with 4 and 7 attempts respectively.

For SC/ST category candidates there is no limit in attempts.

The examination will have three stages that you have to clear:

-Preliminary Examination

-Mains Exam

-Personal Interview

Age Limit for KAS exam:

Every candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and not attained the age of 35 years as on the last date specified for receipt of application or on such other date as may be specified by the Government.

Provided that the upper age limit shall be relaxed by five years in respect of a candidate who belongs to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or category-I of other Backward classes and by three years in respect of a candidate who belongs to other categories of Backward classes.

Provided further that the upper age limit shall be relaxed in the case of a candidate who is a ex-serviceman, by the number of years of service rendered by him in the Armed forces of the Union.
