what is mean by political independence exactly?

Independence means the state or quality of being Independent. For a country, nation or state, Independence is a condition in which its residents and population exercise self government and sovereignty.

Political independence means that political powers are exercised by the citizens of the nation or state or country. This is the exact meaning of Political independence.

Political Independence means the country has it's own political system. It is not dependent on decisions made in another country. India follow Federal form of government where equal power is given to Center and State.
