NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.

This exam is conducted by twice time in a year as NDA I and NDA II Exam .Through this exam , you can apply in Indian Army , Indian Navy and Indian Air force .

For this exam required some eligibility criteria , this criteria is given below-

Education Qualification:-

Completed 12th standard .There is no percentage criteria for the candidate.Final year of 12th standard can apply here .

Age Limit:-

Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Citizenship:-

You must have citizenship of India.

Martial Status :-

Unmarried candidate can apply here .

Gender :-

Only male candidate can apply here .

From this year NDA application form must be submitted by only online system. The fees for NDA exam is 50/- . You can be paid the amount through SBI Debit/Credit Card or by SBI Net Banking or by depositing directly in SBI .

The Acronym "NDA" stands for National Defense Academy Examination. This Examination is conducted every year two times as NDA-I & NDA-II Exam.

The NDA-I Exam is conducted in the month of April whereas the NDA-II Exam is conducted in the month of August every year.

The Union Public Service Commission holds the right to conduct the NDA Exam every year.

Through NDA Exam , the candidates can apply to join the following wings :

The Union Public Service Commission has set some eligibility criteria which you have to fulfill in any case if you want to join any of the above mentioned wings.

The Eligibility Criteria for NDA Exam are :

>> The candidate must be a male.

**If you are Arts stream you are not eligible for this Indian Navy.

Eligibilty to apply for the NDA exams:

Education:

Indian Army- 12th class or Intermediate Pass in any stream
Indian Airforce and Indian Navy Wing- 12th class or Intermediate Pass.In class 12th you should have studied the subjects Physics and Maths.


Age-
Minimum 16.5 years
Maximum 19 years
No age relaxations is given to any candidates who apply for the NDA exams

Next NDA exams would be held in April 2014

Only Candidates born between 2nd January 1996 to 1st July 1998 can apply for these exams

Many candidates who clear the selection process like passing written test and interview rounds are rejected in the medical rounds selection.
Therefore, you must be physically and mentally fit according to the physical standards.

* Physical standards :

> You must not be underweight or overweight.
> Your chest should not be undersized, i.e., minimum 81 cms.
> You should be free from disability.
> Height : For army and navy section the minimum height required is 157.5 cm and for Air Force the minimum height should be 162.5 cms.
> Your eyesight should also be normal.

* General Eligibility :
> You should have completed 12th.
> You must be an unmarried male.
> You should have taken Physics and Mathematics in class 12th for Air Force and Navy.

As your height does not fulfill the required height criteria, therefore, you cannot apply for Air force.
