Sir,I am an H.s 1st year Arts student.I am very much interested to join Indian Army as an officer.Can you tell me how can i prepare for NDA examinations and what should i study?Also tell me the physical needs required to join NDA?My height is 163 cm.Is my height acceptable to join NDA?

Information Regarding NDA Examination.

NDA Examination is conducted by the UPSC in every year for the admission in the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Air Force wing of NDA. This exam conducted twice in a year. Once in the month of April and other in the month of August in every year.

As per your question you are a arts stream student so you are eligible only for the Army wings of NDA because for other wing you need pass 12th with science stream. So, you are eligible only for the Army wing.

Do preparation with the syllabus. Details syllabus information is available on the official website of UPSC. Every year a large number of aspirant appear in this exam to test their fate but seat is limited so competition become really hard. So, if you want to crack this exam then do hard work.

The physical standard must be according to the below given chart..please see the below physical standard chart.

As you say you are student of arts of 12th ,so you will be eligible for NDA but only for Army wings,because other stream like-NAVY AIR FORCE requires 12th passed with science main as PCM(physics,chemistry,math).so you can only apply for ARMY WINGS.
In your 12th class ,there is three main subject except Hindi,and English,so you should try to study carefully.you can also find syllabus for it by searching website:[COLOR="Sandy Brown"]www.upsc.gov.in [/COLOR].your height is good .you should be physically fit.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and the exam for NDA is held twice in every year. The syllabus for this exam is everything you have studied from grade 10 to 12. There are two written exams, one is mathematics and other one is general ability test. mathematics is of 600 marks and general ability test is of 300 marks. you need to really work hard for this exam. you should be mentally as well as physically fit. you can take more tips from websites such as www.navaljourney.com, www.ssbcrack.com and www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. you can also refer to books like Arihant-NDA and R.D. Sharma.

It is nice that you want to join Defense Services through NDA exam. NDA exam consist math, GK and English papers.

You have to strong your 11th as well as 12th Math and English.

You have to Increase Your GK.

The Physical Standards required for NDA Examination are :

* Minimum Height Required -

a) For Army Wings - 157.5 cms

b) For Air Force - 162.5 cms

c) For Naval Academy - 157 cms

* Minimum Weight Required -

a) For Army & Naval Academy , your minimum weight must be in between

46-49 kgs.

b) For Air force , your minimum weight must be in between 48-52 kgs.
