what's the minimum height for girls in nda?as i m only 150cm i m very tensed whether i can join nda or not ........as its my dream to do sumthing for my nation.............jai hind

It is very good to listen that you want to do something for your country.

But dear friend NDA is only meant for Boys only.

You can't appear for NDA.

The only exams for entry of girls are-
1.SSC(Short Service Commission)-
Qualification required- Any graduate degree/BE/B Tech degree with minimum 60% marks and having passed Physics and maths in class 12th.

Age limit- 19-23 years

Advertisement Schedule- In the month of March and September.

And the required height of girls in Defense must be at least 150cm.

girls not eligible for the nda exam.only unmarried boys only eligible.

The board sees height weight co-relation rather than height alone. The minimum height for girls is 148cm. I think you are eligible for OTA, not NDA. For physical standards visit official website of any of the defence forces.

Bad news is NDA is for male candidates. But you can still fullfil your dream.

Good news is there are other options like you can join army, navy, airforce.

As per the eligibility criteria of NDA exam this exam is only for the male candidates. Girls are not eligible to appear for the NDA exam.

But you can apply for the Defence through CDS exam and UES exam. As CDS exam is conducted for the graduate student and UES for the engineering student.

1.CDS EXAM

You can apply for the Indian Army, Air force or Navy after the completion of your graduation. As the minimum education qualification required for this exam is graduation .So you can apply for this after the completion of your graduation.

For IMA
19 - 24years

19 - 22 years

2. UES entry
You can also apply through University entry scheme . But this entry scheme is only for the engineering students. Girls can apply through this under short service commission under technical trade.

1. age limit to attain in NDA exam is 17-19 year.

2.12th with PCM combination.

but girls are not allowed.

so you can't join in nda.

For your informtion NDA EXAM IS ONLY FOR MALES.

Female candidates are not eligible for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.

You can opt for other exams in which girls are eligible like SSC.

ALL THE BEST!

1. Age, sex & marital status – Only males can apply. The applicant should be at least 16 1/2 yrs. of age & should not be more than 19 yrs on 1st Jan or 1st July of the year in which exam is to held. The applicant should be unmarried & can not marry until the training period. If he does so then all the expenditures incurred on him by the government has to be refunded.
2. Educational Qualification – The candidate should be at least 12th pass under the 10+2 pattern or equivalent conducted by State education Board or University ( For Naval & Air Force wings, the candidates should have physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects in the qualifying exam). The candidate appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.
3. Nationality – The candidate should be either an Indian or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal or Tibetan refugee.
4. Physical Standards – The candidates should fulfill the physical standards as mentioned in order to qualify himself for the exam. Anybody having minor ailments like ear wax, hernia, hydrocele / phimosis, DNS, gynaecomastia, piles, varicocele, tonsillitis should undergo rectification as soon as possible so that medical examination carried out at military hospital will be speedily. He should fulfill the following criteria -
* should be good physical & mental health & free from any disability or disease which is likely to interfere with the performance.
* should not be overweight or under weight. He should not have weakly constitution.
* Height should be at least 157.5 cms & 162.5cms for Air Force wing.
* Chest should be fully expanded. The fully expanded chest should not be less than 81cms.
* There should not be any disease of bones or joints of the body.

sorry to say but NDA IS ONLY FOR boys but there are other options for you by which you can join ARMY .

technical and non technical both
Qualification required-

Any graduate degree or /BE/B Tech degree with minimum 60% marks

NCC (SPL) Entry Women::

19 to 25 yrs

NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

And according to UPSC, You are not eligibile for NDA exam because girls are not allowed.

Only Male candidates can apply for NDA exam.

However, seeing your spirit to join the Defence Forces,
you can appear for the CDSE conducted by the UPSC.


About CDSE:

The CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year
for the selection of able and eligible graduates to the defence.
Both male and female candidates can apply for permanent or
short service commission in the army, AF or navy.
Candidates through the CDSE join directly as an officer.


Eligibility:

Unmarried male and female candidates can apply.

Is NDA Meant For Girls A big Quetion Mark ??

NDA i.e National Defense Academy Exam is not written by Girls because Girls are Not Eligible for writing this.

NDA is only Meant for Boys. Girls become More Responsible only after completing their graduation Or any degree.

if girls wants to join indian Army then they can but Not after 12th they need to Go for further studies.

After Graduation you have ample number of Entries like

I) CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Exam , need Girls/Guy with any Degree from recognized university for Indian Army.

If they want to join Indian Air force then they need to have Physics Or maths as a subject in their Graduation.

II) UES i.e University Entry Scheme , Final year Engineering Students are Eligible for this.

III) SSC Technical Only Final year Engineering Students are Eligible For this.

So, i do suggest you to Go for Engineering Degree to make your self Eligible for Every Entry

NDA for Girls!!

I sorry to inform you that there is no provision for female candidate in NDA.

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for the NDA exam held by the UPSC.

If you want to Armed force then don't worry you can join but for that you have to satisfy below mention criteria

- Must have graduation degree from recognized university.

- Age in between 21-23 years for graduation degree holder and 21-28 years for B.E/B.Tech degree.

- Must have height above 152cm and weight according to height.

So, if you satisfy these criteria then to join defence forces you have to appear in written exams conducted by them like CDSE, AFCT, Direct SSB etc...

So don't loose hope you have chances to join armed forces.

As National Defense Academy exam is only for boys so you are not eligible for the exam.
As you are girl then you can apply for CDS, UES, SSC.
The eligibility criteria will be B.Tech and the age limit will be 19-23 years.

Sorry to tell you but the girls are not allowed for appearing in the NDA exam as the

eligibility criteria says that only unmarried male candidates are allowed to sit for NDA.

Apart from that , the other qualifications are as follows:-

1.) 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 70%.

2.) Age limitation is between 16.5 - 19 years.

3.) Minimum height -157 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.

4.) No color blindness with 6/6 eyesight.

Hi, sorry girls are not allowed to join NDA.

But dont worry, after your graduation you can join the Army as an officer, if you have NCC C certificate or you can apply for AFCAT to join Airforce.
