What is NDA & What is the qualification to select NDA?

NDA is national Defense Academy. 12th pass is the basic qualification to join NDA. Such candidates need to qualify an entrance test conducted by NDA. Those who qualify the entrance test can join defense after undergoing training. Unmarried male candidates below 19 years of age can apply.

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:-Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army .

Educational Qualification : -

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are applicable for NDA Exam .Final year also are eligible for NDA exam.

Nationality : -

You must have a citizenship of India .

Age : -

16.5 to 19 years old .

The selection procedure for NDA exam is 1) Written Test. 2) Personal Interview.

The NDA Entrance exam is conducted twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The acronym for NDA is National Defence Academy.

NDA examination is conducted by UPSC as NDA-I and NDA-II twice every year in the months of April and August.

The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination are [prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 12th with Physics and Maths for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force; and with Commerce for Indian Army from any recognised board.

* Age limit- 16.5-19 yrs.

* Sex- Male.

* Marital status- Unmarried or single.

* Nationality- Indian.

NDA entrance exam for the job post under the defense service like Indian army, Indian navy, Indian Airforce etc

NDA entrance exam is toughest entrance exam conducted by the UPSC department

NDA entrance exam eligibility :
1. you should be passed the 12th with science with atleast 60% marks from any recognized institute.
2. age must be between the 16.5 to 19 years.
age relaxation as per gov rules

3. Indian citizen.
4. Physical and medical fitness

Selection process:
1. written test
2/ screening test
3. Interview etc

To get selected in NDA you have to crack NDA examination conducted by UPSC.

NDA examination in conducted twice in a year and those who have the required qualification can apply for it .

-10+2 pass from a recognised board of education. Those who are want to join Aif Force or Navy through NDA exam must complete 10+2 with physics and maths.

Examination Pattern:

-The first exam will be an Objective Type Paper . Those who qualify this paper will proceed to next stage.

-The second stage will be SSB Interview.

-The marks obtained in above exams will decide the merit list .

-Those who are in merit will undergo medical examination.

-After passing medical examination you will be eligible to join NDA .
