age limit of sc for cds exm.
i am unable to know whether am i eligible for the exam.

Since CDS examination consists of various branches.The age limit for various branches are given below

Indian Military Academy -19-23 Years
Air Force Academy -19-23 Years
Naval Academy -19-22 Years
Officers’ Training Academy -19-25 Years

Educational Qualifications

For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering
For Air Force Academy: Degree of a Recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering

For Indian Military Academy is 19-23 Years
Naval Academy is 19-22 Years
Officers’ Training Academy is 19-25 Years
Air Force Academy is 19-23 Years.

If you are lie in between above age then you can apply.

Hello friend,
The eligible age for candidates belonging to any category is same to apply for the combined defense service examination. So, no matter which category you belong to, you must be within the following age limit to write the exam.
For Indian Military Acadmey, the minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years.
For Indian Naval Academy, the minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 22 years.
For Air Force Academy, the minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 23 years.
For Officers training Academy, the minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.

My friend there is no such any special age relaxation is allotted for SC candidates.

Age eligibility for CDS exam:-

For Indian Military Academy:-
*The candidates age should be in between 19-24 years.

For Naval Academy:-
*The candidates age should be in between 19-22 years.

For Air force:-
*The candidates age should be in between 19-23 years.

So, if your age is in between 19-24 years then you can appear in CDS exam.

To be eligible for CDS exam , the candidate must have age within 19 to 23 years on the date of commencement of training.

Please not that there is no age/height relaxation provided to the candidate who belong to SC/ST/BC caste community or any other reserved catagory community. Height relaxation is only provided in some cases but only for North-East candidates.

Age limit for CDS(Common Defence Service) exam.

The exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission). The exam is for army,navy,air force.

* Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university
* Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy
* Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army
* Age limit must be within 19-23 years for Air Force.
* Only unmarried male candidates are allowed for the exam
* Final year can also attend the exam.

* General knowledge
* English

hello sir now i am doing b.tech now days in mechanical branch of 1st year 1st sem student.sir can i apply the IMA form while in 2nd/3rd year running in engg courses.sir is it possible or not it is mandatory to complete my gradution sir .please tell me sir i want to know about this thing so that i will accordingly for that CDS examination.

CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services.

Those who want to join any of the following wings have to crack the CDS Examination :

a) Indian Military Academy

b) Officers Training Academy

c) Air Force Academy

d) Naval Academy

The Examination is conducted every year two times by the Union Public Service Commission in the months of February and December as CDS-I & CDS-II respectively.

The Qualifications Required for CDS Examination are :

* you must have a Bachelor`s Degree from any recognized college/university.

* your age must lie in between 18-24 years.

* you must be an Indian.

* There is no any relaxation in this examination for any category as eligibility criteria remains same for all category candidates.

There is no relaxation of age limit for any category of candidates.
So SC candidates have no relaxation of age limit and is same as other candidates.

Educational Qualification :
Minimum educational qualification is graduation from a recognised University.

Naval Academy-B.Sc with Maths and Physics/B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

Airforce Academy-B.Sc with Physics and/or Maths / B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

Hello friend,

To apply for any of the defence examination, one must fulfill all the eligibility criteria.

For defence sectors, there is no age relaxation provided to any category by the UPSC government.

To apply for any defence examination, your age must be in between the required age limits provided in the eligibility criteria.


The age limit is the same for everyone

your Age Should be between 16.5-19 Years for NDA exam

Your Age Should be Between 19-24 years for CDS exam
