how many opportunities are there in government jobs after completing b.tech with computerscience engineering please suggest me

After CSE, you have good job opportunities in government sector. You can apply for public sector jobs in companies like CDAC, BSNL etc. 60% marks in B.Tech is necessary to attend written exam as part of selection process for jobs in PSUs. A bank job is a good option for CSE. PO/Specialist officer positions are suitable for CSE graduates. UPSC and SSC exam can also be attended so as to apply for jobs in major government departments.

there are many scope in these companies but for this you can go through GATE..Once you have got rank under 300 ,your name is shortlisted by these companies and you can call for interview from these companies..so work hard to get good rank in GATE...GATE is not very tough but you need deep study from your own b.tech syllabus..

What are the opportinities after completing b.tech from M.E branch

i want to know , what are paths opened for me after completing b.tech with computer science in government field , based on the computer knowledge maximum.... Plse tell me sir/madam.

There will be very limited opportunities in the government sector if you are specifically looking for jobs that are related to your field.

There is option of doing Civil Services Examination, Banking jobs etc. However if you want job related to the field then the option is Public Sector Undertakings.

Not all but some of the Public Sector Undertakings do hire Computer Science Engineers. You can apply for the jobs after completing the degree course.

Public Sector Undertaking is the term used for government owned companies. These companies specialize in different fields and require Engineering graduates. The jobs they offered are considered government sector job.

The procedure is that each company issues a notification regarding job vacancies. There will be separate notification from each company. If there is requirement of Computer Science Engineers then you should apply for it.

You will be asked to appear for written examination followed by interview which is the standard procedure to select the candidates in Public Sector Undertaking. However written test is not conducted in every PSU.

Some prefer GATE score. During the job interview you will be asked to show your GATE score. Therefore if you haven't already appeared for it, just do so.


GATE Eligibility

1. Nationality should be Indian for PSU jobs.

2. Under graduate degree in Engineering is required.

3. 60 percentage marks in the degree.

4. There should be no pending backlogs.

5. A valid GATE score. It should not be more than 2 years old.

6. Should be 21 years old to apply.

7. Apply for the exam before turning 30.

8. OBC can apply up to 33 years.

9. The upper age limit is 35 years for SC/ST.

I have completed my BE in Computer science just now in 2014. What are chances to get a govt jobs??? For which type of posts of govt I can apply?
