As vacancies come up in the Indian railway the board publishes recruitment notification in different newspapers and in its official websites. After seeing the notification students can apply to the posts which they are eligible for. The Indian Railway has an online portal which provides all the information regarding the exam. dear friend computer science is a branch which is meant mainly for private sector . there are a vast opportunities in private sector for computer science engineers but it is almost nill as far as government job is concerned.
the best exam in railway for engineers that is IES is also not available for cse engineers. if still you want to join government job then try through SSC exam.get good marks and rank to get better government post.in this case your technical degree will be wasted . |

As a B.Tech graduate you can apply for posts like junior engineer, section engineers etc. UPSC will conduct a written exam as to select qualified candidate. The date and other information will be published in the official website and also in employment newspapers. There will be technical and non-technical question for the written test. The candidates applying for the post must also be in between the age of 20 – 35 years.

The UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and the Central Government conducts the railway recruitment examinations for various posts.
for more visit:http://www.upsc.gov.in The examinations are: 1:Special Class Railway Apprentices(SCRA) Examination for that exam: a)you should complete 10+2 and Bachelor degree with Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum of 50%. b)your age should be between 17 – 21 years . 2:Railway Officers Examination for the post of- Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) Indian Railway Store Service (IRSS) Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) Indian Railways Accounts Service (IRAS) RPF Sub-Inspectors / Constables etc for that exam you should have bachelor degree with 10+2 level science stream. |
