Sir,There are not many prerequisites to become an airline pilot in the United States. While a college degree is an asset, it's certainly not required to obtain a pilot's license. In the past, most airline pilots were trained in the military, but that's no longer the norm either. For starters, it requires a 10-year commitment to the Air Force, and many people who have their sight set to become an airline pilot simply want to fly, and not go through military flight training or live a military life.

Most people who want to become an airline pilot are looking for a civilian license. This type of license can be obtained from a private flight school or from a college that offers a degree on aviation. Both options cost a lot of money. To become an airline pilot you can start with a basic private license, which requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight training, or go directly for a commercial license, which starts at 250 hours. Most private schools charge $80 US Dollars (USD) and up for one hour of flight. Classroom instruction, flying charts, and books are all additional.

After the required hours are finished, those who want to become an airline pilot must pass a check-ride, the equivalent to a driver's license, which consists of a quiz, an oral test, and a practical test. While a pilot's license lasts forever, in order to become an airline pilot, you need a medical certificate, which is only good for 6-12 months, depending on the type of plane you fly. Since 9/11, all pilot licenses in the United States are now given under the permission of Department of Homeland Security (DHS), through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

After you obtain your pilot's license, you need to get flight experience before any airline would consider hiring you. Most airlines would not consider any pilot that has less than a few thousand hours of flight in his or her charts. To become an airline pilot for commercial planes, you also need an instrument rating, which allows you to fly in bad weather conditions, such as below VFR (visual) minimums. Finally, to become an airline pilot you may also need a multi-engine rating, which allows you to pilot all planes under 12,500 pounds.

OK,

Respected sir;
to become an private pilot, you have to fullfill following physical criteria:
you must pass a medical examination by an Aviation Medical Examiner before you receive your license. Private pilot medical standards are not as stringent as standards for commercial and airline pilots, but there are many common medical conditions that could disqualify you. To avoid disappointment, the Federal Aviation Administration strongly recommends undergoing a medical examination before you begin lessons.

Eyes

You must have at least 20/40 near and far vision in each eye (tested separately). If you require glasses or contacts to meet this requirement, you must wear these at all times while operating an aircraft. You must not be color-blind and you must not have any conditions that interfere with your sight or are likely to interfere with your sight in the future.

Ears, Nose, Throat and Balance

Your hearing must be good enough to hear a person speaking in a normal conversational tone six feet behind you. You must not have any ear, nose, throat or mouth problems that are likely to interfere with speech communication or cause vertigo.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse

You must not have any mental condition that gives you hallucinations or causes "grossly bizarre" behavior. You must have no history of substance dependence or must demonstrate that you have totally abstained from using the substance in question for the past two years. Substances include nearly any potentially addictive or mind-altering chemical (including alcohol) except for tobacco and caffeine.

Seizures and Heart Disease

You must not suffer from epilepsy or any other seizure disorder which could impair your ability to fly a plane safely. You will be disqualified for many serious heart diseases, including (but not limited to) angina pectoris, myocardial infarction or other "coronary heart disease that has required treatment." A permanently implanted cardiac pacemaker will also disqualify you, as will a replacement valve or transplanted heart.

Diabetes and General Condition

If you have diabetes that must be controlled using insulin or similar product, you will be disqualified. In general, to become a pilot you must not have any condition which could cause you to suddenly lose consciousness, become disoriented or otherwise lose your ability to safely fly a plane. These requirements are not exhaustive, and some conditions may not permanently disqualify you from flying if you are otherwise qualified (in some cases, the examining doctor may defer judgment on a condition to a higher authority).
Yes, a graduate can apply in this sector.
all the best.
