what is the procedure for selection for NET June 2012 exam. Whether selection will be made on the basis of merit or on the basis of qualifying all the three papers.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test .

The Educational Qualification is required for NET Exam is masters degree from recognized university with above 55% marks .Marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST category , needed 50% in masters degree.Final year student are also applicable for NET Exam

There is no age criteria for NET Exam.But for JRF post your age should be below 28 years old.

No distribution for All papers :-

Section 1 - 100 marks(60 questions are there)
Section 2 - 100 marks(50 questions are there)
Section 3 - 150 marks(75 questions are there)

Yes , UGC NET conducted the written exam .Those candidate qualify in all 3 papers are selected for UGC NET card.
