what are the qualifications to attempt IIT, after diploma how to proceed to attanded IIT?

No, diploma candidates are not eligible to apply for the Indian Institute of Technology. Though you can apply for the Joint Entrance examination mains so that you can get admission in National Institute of Technology or other government engineering colleges.

For JEE mains, diploma candidates are eligible, you can also appear for the Lateral Entry Entrance test you can get admission in colleges of state universities. For mains examination, you should have minimum of 60% marks in diploma.
