For appearing in the clerical exaomination, the minimum qualificaions and eligibilty is-

The minimum qualification required is bachelor degree from any recognized college. In past 12th standard pass students were also allowed to appear for the IBPS Clerk Exam but now it has been changed to bachelor degree.
The rule is same for General, OBC, SC, ST candidates. Institute of Banking Personnel Services that conducts the entrance exam, decided to change the criteria on request of the 19 participating banks. There are 19 Public Sector Banks that participates in the IBPS Bank Clerk entrance exam. Here is the list of the banks: Allahabad Bank Andhra Bank Bank of Baroda Bank of Maharashtra Bank of India Central Bank of India Canara Bank Dena Bank Corporation Bank Indian Overseas Bank Indian Bank Punjab National Bank Oriental Bank of Commerce Syndicate Bank Punjab & Sind Bank United Bank of India Union Bank of India Vijaya Bank UCO Bank Eligibility 1. Candidate should be Indian citizen. 2. Graduation degree in any discipline is required. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Diploma/Degree in computers is also required. 5. You can also appear if studied Computers/IT as a subject in High School or College. 6. The age limit for Clerk exam is 20 to 28 years. 7. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 8. Upto 5 years relaxation is given for SC/ST. 9. PWD is eligible for 10 years relaxation. |

For Government Banks, IBPS conducts the common written exams for the Post of Clerks for 20 Nationalised banks:
These banks are: Allahabad Bank Indian Bank Andhra Bank Indian Overseas Bank Bank of Baroda Oriental Bank of Commerce Bank of India Punjab National Bank Bank of Maharashtra Punjab & Sind Bank Canara Bank Syndicate Bank Central Bank of India UCO Bank Corporation Bank Union Bank of India Dena Bank United Bank of India IDBI Bank Vijaya Bank Minimum Qualifications required to sit in the IBPS BANK CLERKS exams is>> Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream. No Minimum Percentage of Marks is required in Graduation. Age should be between 20 and 28 years OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations IBPS conducts this exam just once each year. Exams are normally held in December each year |

IBPS Stands for Institute Of banking Personnel Selection. It conducts the Banking Exams for the posts of Clerks as well as PO for the 19 public sector banks. From October 2012 , IBPS Has made some amendments in the eligibility criteria for Bank Clerical Exams as prescribed below : a) Educational Qualification : Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university. b) The Candidate should be an Indian. c) Age Limit : 18-28 years [General Category]. d) Age Relaxation : For OBC Candidates : 3 years For SC/ST Candidates : 5 years This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. The eligibility criteria required for the post of clerk are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 20-28 yrs. * Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * Nationality- Indian.
