Eligibility for CID:
Education:Completed any degree with recognized university. Age 20-27...years eye sight: 6/6 one 6/9 another side physical chest 76cms. height 165cms........men height 155cms......women you will need appear to SSC or upsc exams.......... |

I finished 2 in 2008 ,from a poor family. (BCM) but I have. Too much respect and intrest on crime and police and indian govt, How can I continue my career in our indian crime dept, have any chance. For me? Pls am waiting with my strong dreams, I need to do something for our INDIA |

CID is Criminal Investigation Department. CID is crime detection agency works under government of India. -To join CID, you have to appear in Civil Service Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) of India. Website: www.upsc.gov.in Well there are mainly two post in CID:- *Constable *Sub Inspector (considered as Officer) Qualification required to join CID: ~For Constable, You should have passed 12th in any stream from recognized school. ~For Sub-Inspector, You should have passed Graduation course from recognized Institute. Age limit for CID:- ~Your Age should be between 20 years to 27 (relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC). Physical standard for CID: ~Minimum Height- 165 cms & ~Minimum chest 76 cms All the best. .................. |

Dear student,
Regarding the physical standards in CID, Your height should be greater than 165cmsand chest should be greater than 76cms. The body mass index should be average. For those students who know law, there is a special branch of criminology available. |

CID means Crime Investigation Department which comes under the government of India.It investigates the criminal cases in the country.
The candidates must write the UPSC exams which are every year.There are two types of posts under CID,they are: 1.Constable post. 2.Sub Inspector post and higher officer posts. The Eligibility details of the constable post are as follows: * Candidates must have completed 10th or 12th with atleast 55% to 60% of marks. * Must have 18 years of Age. * Maximum 30 years of age for General category students. * Age relaxation is provided for Reserved categories. * 5 years for SC/ST categories. * 3 years for OBC categories. * 10 years for PH categories. The above mentioned are the eligibility details of Constable post. The Eligibility details of the SUB-Inspector post are as follows: * Candidates must have completed graduation from any reconized university. * Must have 21 years of Age. * Maximum 30 years of age for General category students. * Age relaxation is provided for Reserved categories. * 5 years for SC/ST categories. * 3 years for OBC categories. * 10 years for PH categories. The above mentioned are the eligibility details of Sub Inspector exam. There are three exams conducted.They are: 1. Written test. 2. Physical test. 3. Interview. The above mentioned are the details of the posts in Crime Investigation Department. |
