To be eligible for the Teacher Eligibility Test, you must have qualified +2 level of exam with a minimum of 50% marks along with 2 years diploma in elementary education. This eligibility criteria is applicable for the Primary Section of the schools which comprise of Class I-Class V.

To be eligible for the elementary section, comprising higher classes- from Class VI to Class VIII, you must hold a bachelors degree and must have scored a minimum of 50% marks, along with B.Ed.

T.E.T stand for Teacher Eligibility Test.

For class 1st-5th class:-
Pass 12th with minimum 50% marks.
And the diploma is teaching tranning.

For T.E.T exam FOR CLASS 6th-8th
you have to pass graduation with minimum 50% marks.
After that you have to pass B.Ed with minimum 50% marks.
5% relaxation is given to the ST/SC candidate.

After that you can apply through C.T.E.T exam is conducted by C.B.S.E.

When will be the exam of tet 2012 held

After finishing SSLC I have completed 3 years diploma course in polytechnic college . Later I did my B.A ENGLISH (3 YRS IN DISTANCE EDUCATION ) IN ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY .Next I did my B.Ed., in Regular(Tamilnadu Teachers university).I don't have the10 2 3 pattern. Am I eligible to write the TET

TET stands for the Teacher eligibility test.It is examination which suggests on the basis of marks that he/she is able to teach or not.

It is compulsory for all those aspire for becoming teacher .Experience will not only make an individual teacher .He/she has to clear the TET.

It is organised by the state as well as central governement:

CTET: Central teacher eligibility test

STET: State teacher eligibility test.

The qualification depends upon the class you want to teach:

For class 1 to 5:

>>The minimum requirement is 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognised board.

>>Diploma in teacher training is necessary.


For class 6th to 8th:

>>The minimum requirement is graduation in any stream with minimum of 50% marks.

>>Bachelor of education is compulsory for it.

This exam has two types

CTET- Central Teacher Eligibility Test

STET- State Teacher Eligibility Test

Eligibility:

1 to 5th class:

You should complete the 12th standard.

You need min 50% of marks.

Diploma Teacher training is necessery.

6 to 8th class:

You should complete the Graduation.

You need min 60% of marks.

TET exam conducted at state level by state boards.

Candidates have to score minimum 60 percent in the test to qualify for teaching jobs. There is no limit for attempts.

You must have B.Ed degree.

Exam pattern- There are two papers with objective questions. Each paper consist of 150 questions.These papers are-

1. Paper I: If you who want to become teachers for classes I-V.
2. Paper II: If you want to teach classes between VI and VIII.
3. Paper I and II: For those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.
