Re: What is the salary of a commercial Pilot? Qhat is the qualification? What type of training is needed?
Before I start answering all your questions, let me point out something to you. Commercial pilot course is very expensive. It costs around 15 to 20 Lakh. You must be able to arrange this kind of money before going forward.
Please see whether you and your family can afford this course. Its expensive but worth the money since commercial pilots are paid good salary in 6 digit figures. Although it also depends on airline. Apart from salary there are additional perks for the pilots. If you can afford this kind of money then please read the complete information which is mentioned below. Eligibility 1. You will have to pass 12th standard. 2. Your subjects should be PCM. 3. At least 50 percent marks in 12th. 4. Lower age limit is 18 years. 5. While the upper age limit is 30 years. 6. The minimum height of the applicant should be 5 feet. 7. You should have 6/6 vision. 8. The vision can be corrected through glasses but not contact lenses. 9. Must not have fear of heights. Procedure Student’s Pilot Licence - The procedure actually begins as soon as you have completed 10th standard. After completing 10th standard you should apply for the Student’s Pilot Licence. You can also do that in 11th and 12th as well. Basically you have to clear a written test to get the Student’s Pilot Licence. It would be Mathematic based test related to various aspects of aircraft. You will have to score 75 percent marks to clear the test and obtain licence. Private Pilot Licence - To get this licence you will have to wait till completing 12th standard with the criteria mentioned above. Apart from that you will also have to obtain Student's Pilot Licence. You will be given flying lessons before awarding the licence. You will have to gain experience of flying aircraft for 40 hours with flying instructor and 20 hours of solo flying. After which there will be a written test that you will have to clear. Commercial Pilot Licence - This is the final stage after which you can apply for job in commercial airlines. You must get 250 hours of solo flying experience. Then you should clear written tests on Air Regulations, Aviation Meteorology, Air Navigation etc. In the end a team of doctors by DGCA will conduct medical tests. You must clear them to get the Commercial Pilot Licence. |
